27-year-old woman charged after ram-raid in Casey

A 27-year-old Moncrieff woman has been charged with aggravated burglary and other offences following a ram-raid in Casey yesterday morning.

About 3.50am yesterday, Friday 10 December, the woman allegedly participated in a ram-raid style burglary at the Casey Market Town shopping centre.

The vehicle used in the ram-raid was later located by police in Sutton (NSW), completely destroyed by fire.

Later that day, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Moncrieff, and arrested the woman soon after.  

The woman is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates court today, Saturday 11 December to face charges of aggravated burglary and breach of bail conditions.

The woman will also face one count of unauthorized possession of a firearm following a search warrant conducted at her home in September 2021.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the ram-raid, and identifying others involved is ongoing.
