What’s on around Canberra in June 2022

From local theatre productions to Human Nature at Royal Theatre, an EPIC Boho Luxe Market and a Christmas in July festival, there’s lots to see and do in and around Canberra throughout June.

Here’s just a taste of what’s on in June 2022.

Push-Up Challenge: From 1 to 24 June, you can help raise funds for Lifeline Canberra by completing 3,139 push-ups over 24 days. Registration is now open and free to take part. Click here to register. You can create a team and invite others to join or sign up solo, just be sure to select ‘Lifeline Canberra’ as your beneficiary.

Pygmalion: Tempo Theatre presents George Bernard Shaw’s classic play Pygmalion, on which the musical My Fair Lady was based, at Belconnen Community Theatre until 4 June 7.30pm, and also 2pm matinee Saturday 4 June. Tickets: canberraticketing.com.au or phone 6275 2700.

NAA: See a fascinating collection of photographs and footage that recall a time when Australians flocked to new and stylish motels with all the mid-century mod cons in Reception this way: motels – a sentimental journey with Tim Ross at National Archives of Australia, Kings Avenue, Parkes, until 4 September. Dairy Road Market: This market is held on the first Sunday of the month 11am-3pm at 1 Dairy Road, Fyshwick. It brings together wine for sale and tastings by Cellar Door, including small batch winery Linear Wines; locally made objects by designers like CraftACT and RAH and Play Dairy Road, a series of free-play sessions for all ages, facilitated by Green Hat Workshop.
