ACT police seek to identify Dickson armed robbery offender

ACT Policing is seeking to identify an offender responsible for an alleged armed robbery that saw a car stolen at gunpoint at Dickson in early April.

About 4.30am on Monday 10 April, a man was approached by another man at the loading dock of a Dickson business.

The offender allegedly produced a firearm and demanded the man hand over his keys to his grey Mazda 2. The offender then drove off in the Mazda 2 towards Antill Street.

The vehicle was later found crashed into a tree near Lake Ginninderra.

Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the offender. He was wearing a dark hoodie, black shorts with red and blue runners. He was also carrying a dark backpack.

Investigators would also like to speak with anyone who may have dashcam footage of the Grey Mazda 2 on 10 April or may have seen the vehicle at the time.

Anyone with information that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or on the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference number 7400167. Information can be provided anonymously.
