Teenage star Ethan Strange named to make debut for Raiders

Emerging talent Ethan Strange has been named to make his NRL debut for the Canberra Raiders crucial clash against the Melbourne Storm this weekend.

The 18-year-old will become Raider #391 and has been named in the centres after Sebastian Kris was ruled out with a hamstring injury.

Strange made headlines earlier this year when he scored a hattrick for NSW in their U19 State of Origin victory over Queensland.

It’s the only change from Canberra’s side that narrowly defeated the Tigers 22-18 last weekend.

Meanwhile, the Storm have received a huge boost with two representative stars coming back into the team.

Halfback Jahrome Hughes and winger Xavier Coates have both been named to return for the crunch clash.

With just four rounds to go, both of these sides sit on 30 points with the Storm 4th and the Raiders 5th. Canberra will jump into the top four with a victory, while a loss could see them slip to 6th if Cronulla beat Gold Coast.
