Leonard to captain Brumbies Super W side

Wallaroos Lock Michaela Leonard will captain the Brumbies for this seasonโ€™s Super W season.ย
ย
The ACT localย was part of the inaugural Brumbies Super W group and has been a mainstay in the sideย since making her debut in 2018.
ย
Wagga Wagga product Harriet Elleman will be the sideโ€™s vice-captain, the rake having also been part of every Brumbies Super W group to date.
ย
Tabcorp Brumbies Captain, Michaela Leonard said she can’t wait to lead the girls out on Saturday.

โ€œItโ€™s a true honour for me to lead this group this year.โ€
ย
โ€œI love this team and this organisation. Iโ€™ve been lucky enough to represent the Brumbies since 2018 so Iโ€™ll be very proud to lead the girls out.
ย
โ€œI think we have a great team this year, some really exciting backs and a good, hard-working forward pack so I canโ€™t wait to see how we put it all together against the Rebels on Saturday.โ€
ย
Brumbies Head Coach, Dan Hawke said Leonard leads with her actions in training and games.

โ€œMichaela is now an experienced player on the field, a really positive voice in the group and someone who leads with her actions around training and games so sheโ€™ll be a great skipper for us.
ย
โ€œHarriet as well, is someone who has been so impressive with her dedication and application to training, and weโ€™re very confident theyโ€™ll help drive us on Saturday and up in Coffs Harbour.โ€ ย
