O’Connor apartment fire: Did you see anything?

An apartment fire in O’Connor on Wednesday night has been deemed to be suspicious, and ACT Policing seeks witnesses and CCTV footage.

About 1.40am on 17 January, ACT Fire & Rescue responded to reports that an apartment block on Berrigan Crescent was on fire.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but the third level of the complex was significantly damaged, and 11 apartments had to be evacuated.

Repairs to the complex are estimated to cost millions of dollars.

No injuries were reported, and ACT Policing Major Crime Squad is investigating the matter.

Police are seeking any witnesses who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously, or anyone in the area who has CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time of the fire.
