4 passengers injured in Cockington Green train derailment

Four people have been taken to hospital following a train derailment at Cockington Green in Nicholls earlier today.

ACT Policing is calling for witnesses and mobile phone footage of the incident.

About 10am today, Thursday 28 September, a train carriage at the park derailed, injuring several passengers.  

Four people were treated at the scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics and transported to hospital.  

Both ACT Policing and Worksafe ACT attended the scene. Worksafe ACT is taking carriage of the investigation into this incident.  

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have mobile phone footage or photos of the derailment is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or on the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
