Queanbeyan records nine new COVID cases, 20 in Southern NSW

Queanbeyan has recorded nine new COVID cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night with 20 total for the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD).

Seven of the nine cases in the Queanbeyan-Palerang region have been linked to known cases. The new cases are in Queanbeyan (3), Jerrabomberra (3), Karabar (2) and Bungendore (1).

There are six new cases in the Snowy Monaro area with five linked. Five are in Jindabyne and one is in Thredbo.

The Bega Valley recorded three new cases of the virus with just one linked. Bega, Cobargo and Beauty Point all had one new case each.

Goulburn recorded two new cases which are both under investigation.

There have now been 362 total cases in the SNSWLHD since the start of the outbreak in June.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have active cases are Queanbeyan-Palerang (126), Goulburn (54), Eurobodalla (22), Yass (1), Bega Valley (6) and the Snowy Monaro region (66).

There are four people in hospital with the virus.
