Witnesses sought to dangerous driving in Molongo, Weston Creek

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage of a dangerous driving incident that occurred in the Molonglo and Weston Creek districts on Wednesday afternoon, 27 October.

Between 1.30pm and 1.40pm, a blue Honda CRV was seen driving dangerously after colliding with a police vehicle on John Gorton Drive, Denman Prospect. 

After colliding with the police vehicle, the Honda was later located by police in Meina Place, Duffy having driven there via Swallowtail Road, Eucumbene Drive and Warragamba Avenue toward the Duffy neighbourhood oval.

The Honda had been reported stolen from an address in Forrest earlier that morning.

Police are seeking assistance of the public to identify the driver and occupants of the Honda at the time of the incident. 

Police are interested in dash-cam or CCTV footage of the vehicle or of a man acting suspiciously in the area of Yanco Place and Dixon Drive in Duffy between 1.30pm and 3.00pm.  The man is described as wearing a white shirt, and grey tracksuit pants.

Anyone who witnessed the dangerous driving incident, has dash-cam footage or has information that can assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6944659. Information can be provided anonymously.
