37 cannabis plants seized at Uriarra Village grow house

A 27-year-old Uriarra Village man will be summonsed to face court after ACT Policing discovered multiple illegal cannabis plants at his residence.

On Monday (31 August) ACT Policing executed a warrant at the man’s home where they seized 37 cannabis plants across several rooms as well as hydroponic equipment.

The man will be summonsed to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date to face numerous charges including:

·         Cultivating a controlled plant

·         Possession of equipment for the cultivation of a controlled plant

·         Possession of a commercial firework

·         Breaching a good behaviour order

Anyone with information about illegal drug cultivation or supply is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
