7 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Queanbeyan-Palerang

The Queanbeyan-Palerang LGA has recorded seven new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

Three of the cases are in Karabar, two are in Queanbeyan and two are in Urila. The two in Urila are linked to known cases while the others remain under investigation.

The seven cases in Queanbeyan are the only new infections in the Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD).

This brings the total number of cases in the SNSWLHD to 548 since the start of the outbreak in June.

The areas within the SNSWLHD that have cases under ‘virtual care’ are Queanbeyan-Palerang (55), Yass Valley (6), Bega Valley (7) and Upper Lachlan (1).

There are currently zero people in hospital with the virus.
