The NRL season is just around the corner and the Raiders have named their side to take on the Bulldogs in a trial match at Ack Weyman Oval in Moruya.

After an injury interrupted 2022 season, club champion Jarrod Croker will captain the side on Sunday afternoon at 3.55pm.

The 32-year-old managed just one NRL game last season (round 9 against the Bulldogs) before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury, but will looking to push his way back into the side and add to his 292 first grade games.

New recruit Danny Levi will get first crack at the starting hooker spot, while another newcomer in Pasami Saulo will start on the bench.

The side features plenty of NRL experience, with Xavier Savage, Matt Frawley, Emre Guler and Corey Horsburgh all named in the starting 13.

The Bulldogs line up is headlined by new recruit Reed Mahoney, while veteran Josh Reynolds will play his first game in Bulldogs colours since 2017. Former Raider Ryan Sutton has been named to start at lock for the Dogs.

Meanwhile, Canberra stars Corey-Harawira-Naera, Joe Tapine, Jordan Rapana and Jack Wighton will all feature in the All Stars match on Saturday afternoon in New Zealand.
