Enrolling for tertiary education can be a daunting time, and that’s without being amid a global pandemic and unable to visit your potential campus.
However, Canberra’s tertiary educational institutions have stepped up to the task and have an array of digital open day/week events for you to check out before you enrol.
University of Canberra: Open Day reimagined
The University of Canberra will be holding its official virtual open day this Saturday 22 August. Prospective students are invited to register their online attendance to take part in virtual campus tours, on-demand information sessions and live sessions with academics and students. The virtual event will run from 9am to 4pm, but for those who can’t make the live virtual event, content will remain online to access later and there will be additional sessions run the following week. UNSW Canberra
As part of the weeklong ADFA Open Day, UNSW Canberra are holding information presentations and live Q+A sessions this coming weekend. Watch the information presentations from the four academic schools from Thursday 20 August and then log-in on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August for live Q+A sessions. Staff from each school will be on hand to answer all your questions about studying at UNSW Canberra. Links will be available to access the content after it is live. Australian National University
The Australian National University will be hosting a virtual Open Week, with a chance to win free on-campus accommodation for one year. The weeklong event will kick off with Q&A sessions on Saturday 22 August, with information on courses, studying abroad, career opportunities and student life available throughout the event. Australian Catholic University
The Australian Catholic University will be hosting a series of three virtual Open Days, making it accessible for all. Run on consecutive Saturdays – 29 August, 5 and 12 September, all three virtual events will hold similar information sessions, so you only need to attend once. Prospective students will be able to book in one-on-one consultations in their field of interest and join live Q&A and panel sessions. Canberra Institute of Technology
CIT is still in the planning phase of its 2020 Open Day event. It will be releasing a date for the event in the near future.
